The undisputed king of tiramisu in Rome, Pompi has been producing the city's most celebrated version since the 1960s. The classic tiramisu — soft coffee-soaked sponge, creamy mascarpone layers, chunks of chocolate on top — is the benchmark. Multiple flavours available (strawberry, pistachio, caramel), though the classic is the reason to visit. The San Giovanni original is the most pleasant: sit-down service, friendly staff. Multiple central Rome locations make Pompi easy to find.
