Viale Enrico de Nicola, 78, 00185 Roma RM, Italy
Inside the largest bath complex of antiquity (built 298–306 AD), now housing the National Roman Museum's epigraphy and protohistory collections — an unrivalled archive of Roman inscriptions and pre-Roman Italic cultures. The site itself is the real attraction: enormous original Roman vaults, plus Michelangelo's serene 16th-century cloister.
