Via della Pilotta, 17, 00187 Roma RM, Italy
Still owned and inhabited by the powerful Colonna family (history going back over 800 years), this Baroque gallery centres on the spectacular Great Hall — 76 metres long, covered in mirrors, marble, and ceiling frescoes celebrating the family's victory at the Battle of Lepanto in 1571. Open to the public only on Saturday mornings, making it one of the rarest visits in Rome. Five minutes from the Trevi Fountain.
