The Trastevere half of the National Gallery of Antique Art — far quieter than its Barberini sibling.
Via della Lungara, 10, 00165 Roma RM, Italy
A late-Baroque palace in Trastevere, once home to Queen Christina of Sweden after her abdication and conversion to Catholicism. Holds Caravaggio's San Giovanni Battista, Murillo's Madonna and Child, plus important works by Reni, Caracci, and Rubens. Faces the Botanical Gardens; the rare 'Throne of Corsini' is in the same building.
