Don't miss Borromini's Perspective Gallery in the courtyard — a forced-perspective optical illusion.

Piazza Capo di Ferro, 13, 00186 Roma RM, Italy

A small but exquisite Baroque gallery inside Palazzo Spada, built up by Cardinal Bernardino Spada in the 17th century. Four richly decorated rooms hold works by Artemisia Gentileschi, Titian, Brueghel, Guercino, and Reni. The real star is Borromini's Perspective Gallery — a 9-metre corridor designed to look 35 metres long through clever use of forced perspective.
