Catacombs of Priscilla

Known as the 'Queen of the Catacombs' — 13km of tunnels with around 40,000 graves, on the Via Salaria. Houses the earliest known image of the Virgin Mary (3rd century AD) and the 'Greek Chapel' frescoed with biblical scenes. A controversial fresco shows what some scholars argue is a woman performing the Eucharist.
