Often confused with the fountain — the small piazza itself has its own charm.
Piazza di Trevi, 00187 Roma RM, Italy
The compact 18th-century piazza specifically designed as a single Baroque stage to frame the Trevi Fountain — the entire square functions as one integrated set piece, with the surrounding palazzi acting as the wings. It's almost always busy, but visiting at dawn (before 7am) gives you the rare experience of having the fountain effectively to yourself, with only the sound of the water and the early-morning street cleaners.
