Best photographed with the Pantheon façade behind it at golden hour.
Piazza della Rotonda, 00186 Roma RM, Italy
A 1575 fountain by Giacomo della Porta in front of the Pantheon, with the small Egyptian Macuteo Obelisk added on top in 1711 by Pope Clement XI. The original travertine basin was upgraded to marble in the 18th century, and four dolphin spouts were added. It's the perfect golden-hour photo spot — the obelisk silhouettes beautifully against the Pantheon's portico, and the surrounding piazza fills with street performers, horse carriages, and (often) live music in the evenings.
