Belvedere Terrace of the Palatine

An elevated viewpoint on the Palatine Hill that lets you see the entire Roman Forum laid out below — temples, basilicas, the Via Sacra, and the Curia — without having to walk through the maze itself. Crowds peak in mid-morning when tour groups arrive; a late-afternoon visit (around 16:00–17:00) is much quieter and the lower sun brings the relief of the ruins into sharper definition. Access is included with the Forum/Palatine ticket.
