Via Lemonia, 00174 Roma RM, Italy
One of Rome's most cinematic parks, named for the 2nd-century AD Aqua Claudia and Anio Novus aqueducts whose massive arches stride across the open fields for nearly 2 kilometres. Features prominently in the opening scenes of Fellini's La Dolce Vita and Sorrentino's The Great Beauty. Wide open meadows, sheep grazing, and unobstructed views of the aqueducts marching to the horizon make this Rome's most accessible 'countryside in the city' experience. Best at sunset when the arches catch golden light. Reachable by Metro Line A — easily combined with a coffee in the nearby Tuscolano district.
