One of Rome's most unexpected hidden green spaces — a secret garden tucked inside the courtyard of Palazzo Venezia, hidden behind the walls of the palace directly on Piazza Venezia, one of the city's busiest and noisiest intersections. Once inside, the garden is a revelation: shaded by mature trees, scattered with ancient sarcophagus fragments, potted lemon trees, and Roman sculpture fragments, with benches where office workers from the palace eat lunch in complete quiet.
