Piazzale Scipione Borghese, 5, 00197 Roma RM, Italy

The world's finest Bernini collection — Apollo and Daphne, The Rape of Proserpina, David, all carved before he turned 26 — alongside six major Caravaggios, Raphael's Deposition, and Canova's Pauline Bonaparte as Venus. The collection was assembled by Cardinal Scipione Borghese in the early 17th century, often through outright extortion of artists. Set in a small 17th-century villa inside Villa Borghese park, with English audio guides included; the 2-hour limit is enforced precisely.
