Chef Dario Benelli gives life to daring, creative flavours using unusual ingredient combinations: helichrysum, thyme and juniper; honeyed lavender with bitter chocolate; raw pistachio with salty almond. Unusually for Rome, La Gourmandise offers dairy-free options (including flavours made from goat milk sourced directly from Malta) alongside the regular gelato, making it genuinely inclusive. In business since 2010 and consistently praised for quality by Roman food writers. Worth the short trek to Monteverde.
