Between the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain — an area of appalling food and coffee choices — Trecaffè stands out as a genuine quality bar. Artisan roasting, global bean sourcing, and a signature macchiatone (a large, frothed-milk espresso, cross between a lungo and cappuccino) that has its own following. Staff are skilled and the space is considerably more pleasant than most bars in this zone. Often cited as the best coffee in the Trevi/Spanish Steps area.
