Faro – Luminari del Caffè

Rome's pioneering specialty coffee shop — the first to open in the city (2016) and still considered by many the benchmark. Faro roasts its own beans in-house (as Aliena Coffee Roasters), using light roasts that prioritise clarity and origin character over the deep bitterness of traditional Italian espresso. Multiple brewing methods available: espresso, AeroPress, syphon, V60. Sit-down service; excellent specialty pastries and brunch. The espresso menu reads like a wine list. Worth the trek from the historic centre.
