Vicolo del Arco della Pace, 5, 00186 Roma RM, Italy
A small but important Renaissance church (1482), with a unique semicircular Baroque portico added by Pietro da Cortona in 1656. Inside, Raphael's fresco of the Four Sibyls (1514) — one of his most beautiful and best-preserved frescoes outside the Vatican — fills the lunette above the Chigi Chapel. The adjoining Chiostro del Bramante (Bramante's Cloister, 1500) is the architect's first major Roman work and now a contemporary art exhibition space — accessible separately.
