The Florentine community's national church. Borromini is buried here.
Via Acciaioli, 2, 00186 Roma RM, Italy
Built starting in 1519 for the Florentine community in Rome — Sangallo, Antonio da Sangallo the Younger, and Giacomo della Porta all worked on it; the dome is by Carlo Maderno; the facade is 18th century. Borromini designed the high altar and is buried here in the family tomb of his patron Carlo Spada. Inside is one of Rome's finer collections of 17th-century painting, including a fine Annibale Carracci.
