A monumental Baroque fountain (1612) on the Janiculum Hill, marking the terminus of the Acqua Paola — Pope Paul V's restoration of an ancient Roman aqueduct that brought water from Lake Bracciano. Six granite columns were salvaged from old St. Peter's Basilica and reused in the façade. The fountain became internationally famous as the opening shot of Paolo Sorrentino's The Great Beauty (2013), and the terrace beside it offers one of Rome's most stunning panoramas across the rooftops below.
