Inside the Orange Garden. Best at golden hour.
Viale Nino Manfredi, 00153 Roma RM, Italy
A simple stone parapet on the Aventine Hill, inside the Orange Garden (Giardino degli Aranci), with sweeping views across the Tiber to Trastevere, the Vittoriano, and St. Peter's dome. The terrace sits on the foundations of the medieval Savelli fortress, and the orange trees behind you are descendants of those said to have been planted by Saint Dominic himself in the early 13th century. Quietest in the morning; busiest at sunset.
