Also major concerts and events. Designed by Pier Luigi Nervi for the 1960 Rome Olympics (basketball tournaments). One of the great examples of 20th-century sports architecture — a vast reinforced concrete dome in the EUR district. Has hosted Olympic basketball (1960), NBA exhibition games, major concerts, and professional basketball for decades. Also known as PalaEUR and PalaLottomatica. Currently one of Rome's two main indoor arenas for basketball.
