Check legavolley.it for Rome team schedules. Rome has historically had clubs in both men's and women's top divisions. Club Italia (the national youth programme) uses PalaTiziano as its training base. Rome has a strong volleyball tradition. The Stadio Nicola Pietrangeli hosted the 1948 European Volleyball Championship — one of the first major international volleyball events. Club Italia, the Italian volleyball federation's youth development team, is based in Rome and plays home matches at PalaTiziano.
