Lo Scopettaro

Slightly off the tourist track on the Tiber side of Testaccio, with mostly Roman regulars. The carbonara is exceptional, and the homemade meatballs are tender and flavourful. The dining room is unpretentious and warm; live music some evenings. A quieter alternative to the more famous Felice a Testaccio nearby.
