An Ostiense landmark since 1931 — Rome officially recognised it as a 'Shop of Historic Interest' in 2012. Profiterole (Tuscan recipe: crispy pastry balls filled with custard + chocolate drizzle) is the signature and is outstanding. Also: Sacher cake, seasonal shortcrust biscuits, fruit tarts, Neapolitan pastiera at Easter, zeppole, casatiello. A quick coffee stop doubles as an opportunity for extraordinary pastry.
