Inside Villa Borghese — historically held a deer enclosure (no deer remain).
Piazzale dei Daini, 1, 00197 Roma RM, Italy
A peaceful, less-formal section within Villa Borghese, originally enclosed in the 17th century to hold deer for Cardinal Borghese's hunts (the deer are long gone). Wide open lawns, mature trees, and shaded paths make it perfect for picnics or escaping the busier central avenues of Villa Borghese. Quieter and more naturalistic than the formal sections nearby.
