Belvedere Terrace of the Aventine

The classic panoramic terrace at the western edge of the Orange Garden on the Aventine, with sweeping views across the Tiber to Trastevere, the Vittoriano, and St. Peter's dome. Built on the foundations of the medieval Savelli fortress. Quietest in the morning; busiest at sunset (with rows of tripods setting up an hour before).
