Museo delle Mura (Aurelian Walls)

Inside Porta San Sebastiano — the largest gate of the Aurelian Walls — this small free museum tells the story of Rome's 19km of 3rd-century AD fortifications. Best of all, you can climb up onto the parapet and walk a preserved 350m section, one of the few places in Rome where you can experience the walls from the top.
