Tiny but moving. The balcony overlooks the Spanish Steps — they encourage you to sit a while.
Piazza di Spagna, 26, 00187 Roma RM, Italy
The pink house at the foot of the Spanish Steps where John Keats died of tuberculosis in 1821, aged 25. Now a small museum dedicated to Keats, Shelley, Byron, and the Romantic poets in Rome. Holds Keats's death mask, locks of hair, original manuscripts, and a poignant film about his final months.
